Federal interconnection policy battle underway

This week marks a shift from “pipeline” to actionable infrastructure. The Air Force’s Alaska AI data center RFP is the most important federal siting opportunity in years, while VA’s EHR rollout restart signals real deployment scale. At the same time, supply chain constraints and workforce gaps are emerging as the true limiting factors—not demand. The result: AI is accelerating, but execution capacity is the bottleneck.
